[DENIED] Rules for law enforcment 11 years 11 months ago #484

In-Game Name: [ZARP] DGVids

What do you want to add?: New rules to law enforcement

Why does it need to be added?: Because cops will randomly warrant someone's house for "Printers" without actually knowing any are in there.

Should it be VIP/MOD/ADMIN only, or available to all?: All

(if a buyable product) How much should it cost? And who should sell it?: N/A

Should it be permanent?(will return to you once reconnect)?: Yes

Would it do good to the server? And why would it?: Yes, I have had encounters in the past where cops randomly warranted my residence on the accusation of "Lots of Printers". When I arrive home, my printers are destroyed and weapons stolen and there is no role-playing possibility of them having seen my "printers".

would there need to be new rules created for no abuse of the new addon/job...? list them.: Yes: Adding clarification to the arresting/warranting/wanting of people and their bases.

What is the priority of the addon/job/weaponpack?(is it necessary?): Mandatory

Yup, I was warrented for the reason "search" today when I was on the other side of the map of my house. I got there just in time to stop them from breaking down my second door, to point the rule that clearly states:
You may not randomly, shoot, harass, arrest, or search players without a valid reason.
It took me 5 mintues to talk 5 cops including 2 admins and a lead admin out of my house. All day there was a little thug group of people who were going house to house, sometimes the same business multiple times in a span of 10 minutes.

We already got a rule for law enforcement. If you read the rules yourself then you knew that. -Support as we already got a rule like this. And if somebody breaks a rule like that then contact somebody from the staff so they can take action.

You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

The rule that is in place clearly already states this.

All of you are saying there is a rule for it, and you are right, however the rule can be clarified and expanded to make it 100% foolproof. I had to spend 5 minutes straight telling 2 admins, a lead admin, and 4 other kids that their random search was against the rules. It wasn't until they PM'd agent and I pasted the rule 20 times that they finally left.

Obviously if admins are breaking that rule, then it needs some clarifying. That being said, a few admins haven't even read the rules, considering half the time I hear an admin chewing out someone who NLR'd, they tell them they have to wait 5 minutes, when the rule is 3. I'm tired of having to inform people of such a large rule when they are supposed to know more than me.

There has been a large increase of random searches in houses. Admins were part of these thug groups of cops. So why give -support for clarification and expansion of a rule that admins aren't even sure about? The admins all said searching house to house was a "Valid Reason", it wasn't until Agent said otherwise that they stopped.
