TOPIC: "Sending client info" takes forever.

I just tried to join the server , i see the "Sending client info" screen for about 5 minutes and nothing happened. any ideas?

Could be your internet.....

This happens to me, all I do is press cancel and then join the server again, if I dont then it stays on Sending Client info forever

I usually read a book when I wait for the server to connect me.

Try restarting all your network stuff (modem, router, etc.) as well as your PC.

Removing addons you don't need or un-installing gmod could help you there.. I've had the same problem for a while because my Garrysmod folder was to big and had old addons I didn't used for ages anymore. Otherwise It could by your internet

Yeah removing addons is a good way to make it fast but i uninstalled Gmod, and it's working like a dream now!

It happens to me alot aswell, just stop it and retry
