What is your job as a moderator on ZARP?
You're now apart of the staff team, you're here to help out ANY player that is on the server, even the rulebreakers, Your main priority is to help players NOT to use the powers given to you for your own benefit!
As an moderator you are new on the ZARP Staff Team, meaning that you now are supposed to be an role model for other players, you are expected to be neutral, act professional and Judge fairly.
Never ignore an player in need of help, as said helping players is now your main priority that’s why you applied.
You will now be guided through the moderator job and how do to your job good
.
.

What to do? Lets make a few situations.

There's a F1 Request about someone claiming him being killed randomly (RDM), what do you do as a moderator?
You first check the logs to see if the person actually have been killed or if he is just abusing F1, incase the one making the F1 have been killed you teleport both players somewhere that is calm, You than first ask the person who made the request about what happened, after he finished explaining you first decide if its RDM or not, If you than decide that this is RDM you ask the reported person for his side of the story, never ever take action without hearing both sides of the story.
In case they both have different stories and you don’t know what to do, ask for proof, this could be video recordings pictures and so on if the person who made the F1 request does not have any proof and the reported person still claims another story or that it was not RDM, there is simply nothing you can do.
Incase they have proof you ask them to send it to you, if its valid you can take action from there.
How to treat an rulebreaker:
First you tell him what he have done wrong, than afterwards you might want to ask him if he have any specific reason to break the rules, this could be that he got confused with them or didn’t read them, he could also just be breaking rules for fun.
After you heard his reason of why he would be breaking then you judge whether you should punish him or an verbal warning is enough.
Verbal warning would be telling him to not do it again and that next time he will receive an warn using the /warn command.
Punishing could be warning him using the /warn command, or slaying, freezing, jailing him. Or any other sorts of punishment.

There's a F1 an player reports someone breaking NLR, what do you do?
You teleport the player who made the F1 to you and than you ask him for the name of the reported player, you then ask an administrator or above to check if the reported person have an NLR timer on him(They can do this using print_nlr console command) incase the reported person have an NLR timer on him, you teleport him to you.
Ask for both sides of the story (Even if you already heard the person who made the F1’s story he needs to tell you again) after hearing both sides of the story you try to figure out whether he broke NLR or not, you could find out by asking the reported player if he broke NLR, and if he admits to break it you punish him with either an verbal warning or /warn command.
Incase he says that he did not break NLR you ask for proof (recordings, pictures and so on) if there is no proof you like with the RDM can’t take any action since you don’t know if he broke the rule or not.

There's a F1 a player is prop spamming what do you do?
You teleport to the reported player and check if he actually is prop spamming, as moderators do not have the prop logs. If he is spamming props, you save his STEAM-ID and then kick him for prop spam, afterwards you contact an admin asap and tell him about it, aswell giving the STEAM-ID. (However if an admin is ingame, you should inform him asap)

There's a F1 of a player prop pushing, what do you do?
You teleport the player making the F1 to you and ask him what happened, once he finished telling you what happened you judge whether this is proppushing or not, incase you think its proppush you teleport the reported player to you and than again ask for both sides of the story, If he admits to proppushing you can ask him if he have any specific reason to be proppushing, this could be his car was stuck, or he was playing around with his friend or if he just wants to annoy people by doing it, once he finished explaining the reason of why he would be proppushing you decide whether if an verbal warning is enough or if he should be punished.
Incase both of the players still have different stories or if the reported person still claims not to be proppushing you ask for proof (video recording, pictures and so on) if the person making the F1 don’t have any proof you can’t take any action.
If the player admits to his rulebreak, take into considerating that he was being honest and mature about it and useally an verbal warning is enough there.
If they lie, yells and stats being immature about it you could warn him and than follow up with like an slay or anything like basicly some sort of extra punishment for his bad behavior.

Some Sidenotes:
- Some cases were bigger punishments are needed (ban, jail and such things) don’t be afraid to contact an higher rank and ask him to help you out with it, don’t try to handle things that you know your not able to handle, Its better contacting an higher up and have him help you out if you either don’t know what to do or if its becoming too much for you to handle.

- Don’t ever let you temper influence you judgments, if you start to feel that you are getting annoy or even angry, use chat and if they simply just piss you off and you feel like you are not able to control yourself anymore, get another staff to help you.

- Never ignore players who need help, never leave an reported case unfinished (unless its beyond the able power for you) that means that you should help players as much as you possible can.

- Incase you do something wrong and an superadmin pulls you aside to speak to you about it, the worst thing you can do is to try to lie you way out of it, if you know you did an mistake admit to it take whatever the superadmin will do to punish you for it and get back on the horse.

- Don’t at any way be afraid of taking action after being told off/spoken to by superadmin, after all they are only doing it to help you.

- You are NOT allowed being staff in another garrysmod community without given permission from chuteuk, if doing so you will be demoted from your rank, no matter which rank you are.

- If you have an problem with an fellow staff member, don’t be afraid to speak it out with the staff member or an superadmin, If it goes to the point were it becomes an problem action will be taken.

- The superadmin is your friend, as said above if you have someone from the staff team bugging you or if you have an problem with them (this could be them insulting you, or yelling at you for no reason, harassment and so on) or if you caught an staff member abusing, the superadmin will gladly help you with your problems, that’s why he is there to make sure everything works for you and the staff team, an team can’t work together if people have problems with eachother so please just get it solved.

- You are ofcourse not allowed to abuse, If caught doing your powers will be revoked.
