Good Afternoon,

After seeing the new knight demon change I noticed one small factor to the server, nobody will raid bank, raid casino, nuke, or base now. I was wondering why because I thought there would be more competition due to some changes but nobody wants to do anything. Why is that? well the knight demon can now kill anyone wearing anything at any time if they dont jump once in three tries. The idea is cool and unique but its clearly not a good fit to the current meta or future of the server, if something like the Jet Suit having 90% gluon resistance was too OP then how come pressing f3 can let you rip a gold jugg when we just removed that same capability with the Grim Reaper? food for thought.

Maybe if someone suggested a rework that removed the grabbing part of the suit and turned it into a actual pvp suit. That would be INSANE :(

While I appreciate removing the, frankly OP as fuck teleport effect, it was replaced with an equally if not more op grab effect. When this was pitched I must have missed the part where it kills you if you fail the skill check, as much as I understood it, it was just supposed to hold you in place longer should you fail the check.

I like that idea a lot, not sure if that was the original plan or not but the KD has always had a reputation of either being the most broken suit or the most useless suit.

I think this is a much better idea, maybe make the grab animation longer so it takes longer to get into the skill check, and maybe you have to get 3 skill checks total (not in a row) to get let go.

this would take a player out of the picture for quite a while which could be extremely helpful in a lot of raids

I like the idea of skill checks, but being insta killed definetely isnt fun. The general trend over the last year or so is adding insta kill or near insta kill weapons like the propellor trap, grim, forcefield, taser, steel ninja.
All of the above have been reworked to a point where its manageable but that just makes them totally useless afterwards, there should be more skill based generic suits added that favour good aim and positioning rather than being in the right place/getting lucky and insta killing someone. I think the demon should either be as the original pitch was or a complete rework to make it good in close quarters pvp (as smol suggested). For example having a cooldowned ability to steal the HP of nearby (non gang members) and add it as a sort of overhealth or a lifesteal ability like the mummy suit but instead it gives HP instantly which would favour people leading from the front and doing damage directly.

When I suggested a rework for the demon a month or two ago, I suggested either a real lifesteal ability where some of the damage you deal goes directly into your health pool. As well as a dueling type of suit where you select one player within your range and demon esp, and you will have buffed stats against them and them only. While locked on to someone other players would also deal more damage against you in return for the buffs you receive. No one thinks a suit that locks you out of gameplay or has a insta lose mechanic is fun.

As it stands now, the demon can lock someone out of playing for a few seconds at least or completely rip them whilst putting themselves in 0 risk. The suit has 0 take off timer but even if it did it wouldn't matter as you are doing your ability through the wall. As you said there should be a skill based suits coming out that don't just hand you a wonder ability and do all the work for you.

While I believe this is preferable for now, I also believe that the Knight Demon deserves an ability that does not ruin the fun and keeps it in line with the majority of other suits, as suits like the Knight Demon and Ice King having abilities that completely stun you in place as well as halfing your HP (with no downsides) does not fit in a pvp environment. These suits have the potential to ruin an entire Base/Raid without any need of skill and its quite obvious that nobody wants them on the server.

I've heard a lot of complaints about the new demon ability being extremely unfair and hating the death upon failure aspect of the skill checks, so I've recently had a discussion w/ chute to change the demon so at the very least it doesn't kill you upon failure of all 3 skill checks.

Agreed 100% tbh, you make a great point with suits hindering the flow of pvp. Not only is it just unconventional, it makes pvp a lot more stale

While traps did just receive a nerf in the previous update as well as recently with the new rule changes making it so that you are limited to how many are placed, I also think that we should completely eliminate the fact that they 1 hit kill and not just traps but all items/suits that have this potential. Once again the pvp should be centered around skill & strategy and not the fact that you can use an item that will 1 tap a suit. Traps should be something to help but not something you crutch on.

The old kd was in no way better whatsoever. However I do believe changes can be made to the current one to make it a bit more fair when it comes to raids etc as it can be unfair. However, if u think swapping places with someone is a lot better idek then!

As previously said, from what I remember from that meeting, the demon was supposed to hold a player in place for x amount of time but that time could be over quicker if you did the skill checks or a teammate shot you out of the grab.
Again from what I remember there was never talk of it killing you but I could be wrong.
Another change to this to add a slight bit of "risk" would be to make the player only stay in the held position as long as the person in the demon keeps the suit on. :zarp:
