TOPIC: Why Do You Stick Around?

Hey, all.

So, as you guys know, my attendance in the community has been a tad spotty as of late. A.K.A. I'm on once every week, usually.

Anyway, over the years I've been checking the forums, and you guys know I'm not the drama-inciting type or the type to be overly critical of anyone specifically, this is more out of curiosity than frustration or any malicious intent.

So, I've noticed there are a few people who technically leave the community, but stick around to check in every so often - this is fine! I was the same when I left a while back. But I have noticed there are some people who technically leave the community, and yet feel the need to come on *just* to specify their frustrations and problems with the community, even when they don't play anymore.

Granted, some of these people also give rather sound arguments as to why they stick around - perhaps it's out of a hope that the server they once knew would return to their preferred state. Or perhaps it's to openly criticise the owners in hope that they take it in a constructive way and think of making changes.

Tl;dr - if you're not here to play, and you only come on the forums to make critical comments, why stick around?.If it bothers you that much, why are you here? No offense intended, just honestly curious!

Note: I put this in the SSRP section as this is undoubtedly the server that receives the most criticism.

Final thing, I apologise in advance if this is a problematic post and causes drama. Again, mostly just asked out of sheer curiosity.

Because it was my first ever server that gave me so much trust and responsibilities that I just admire. Plus I’ve met so many amazing people here; it’s a shame major if it has left.

I'm quite fond of a number of people on here and its interesting to see the new updates and such even though I won't play them.
