The problem I'm seeing with it mainly is how it's only obtainable through using IRL money, why not a new case or something to put it in else it's not really fair on players who don't want to buy booster packs because they are unable/don't want to spend the money?

a lot of this update's features are stuff you are meant to spend money on or at least heavily incentivized to do so. I'm not saying that's implicitly a bad thing or hating on the staff team or anything like that, but being 'fair' on those who don't spend money has been brought up many times and has yet to be addressed - but frankly, they don't have much of a logical reason for doing so aside from appealing to new members (who aren't the ones proven to spend their money as much).

Yes they are as rare as the golden items as you can't get them any other way after boosters are gone!
