TOPIC: State of ssrp

Played for a few days now and honestly there isnt anything to do on ssrp. Since I last played it seems the prices of stuff has gone up 5 times or something stupid, no one bases anymore and if they do its a district unraidable base, so nothing to do in the raiding side of things then since no one bases the second you base everyones want to raid you just to have something to do. I have no idea how you expect any new player to stick around when its unplayable, now im not speaking about the few rich players but for any players who doesnt have a suit or a stupidly large arsenal or special weapons its unplayable. Im not leaving zarp but dont see any point in ever touching ssrp again, I didnt think it could have got worse but it did. Will be sticking around to try and get a basic server with nothing more than the original craftables when it was about skill not wallet size.

Anyone who thinks im chatting shit, please feel free to prove me wrong, start from a new account and dont take hand outs and see how long it takes before you can get anything, you cant without multiple accounts afk mining

As someone who never really had much OP stuff on SSRP, I understand where you're coming from entirely.

One of the things that I want to work on as Owner, and something that Jamie expressed interest in helping with in his Community Manager campaign is to put a direct focus on making the server more enjoyable and to create a viable progression for newer players to prevent the kind of issues you've mentioned where nobody bases because either they're too poor to be able to defend or they're too rich for anyone to raid them.

In coming updates, I'm hoping for there to be a clear focus on adding new gameplay features that everyone can access from the very start, rather than anything new which just relies on already having money to be usable. I've already worked on some features like this, but by no means have I done enough of this yet.

If you do have any specific suggestions that you'd like to see added, or anything you've seen on other servers that you think is really good for encouraging basing / skill-based gameplay, please do make a suggestion, as we always look at them in the Community Council meeting every week.

i support this also. i don't enjoy as much as i used to, to come on the server and play. usually the streets are empty just a big printing base and the only thing i can do is basically coinflip and i hope the server gets a revamp or just more ways to introduce new players and new content to enjoy the current state is not so bad but there's just nothing else to do after you've done everything again and again and especially if you're new you cant do anything

When there is no one basing people complain that there is no basing on the server, basing is dead nothing to raid, but when a gang sets up a base people complain that you can't raid it and no one even attempts to raid there wasn't a serious raid on our base yet and it's been up for an entire day right now
