TOPIC: Gaming Triathlon? Opinions needed.

I might make a poll when I get home not sure tbh

The short and sweet of this is I wanna make a competition where people will play across a triad of games (one of them obviously being Garry's Mod). At the minute, I've got my Christmas shopping sorted and I've still got a bit of pocket change - so I was thinking if players wants to take part but they don't have the games in question, they can put their Steam here and I'll gift them the games.

Sounds stupid in theory, but I'll be putting a cap on how many people can enter, and the whole putting the steam on here thing hopefully might deter alts and shit.

Anyway, the games I was thinking of were Slap City and The Ship: Murder Party.
Both are fairly cheap, but quite a bit of fun.

I'll give new players of these games a chance to get used to the games before playing by running practice rounds, and then we play for real.

The prizes can range from SSRP cash to boosters, to cases.

Lemme know what you think.

Tl;Dr You gonna play three games including Garry's Mod SSRP, and whoever wins in any of the three games (this includes runners up, and considers the possibility of different winners per game) will be given cool prizes. Lemme know what you think.

If this isn't something people wanna do - I can just go back to the drawing board.

I've always wanted to play with friends on The Ship but noone ever plays it lol so this would be cool.

I mean, the Ship isn't really a game that requires a whole lot of skill to play. Considering how slow the game can be given all the needs and stuff you gotta do in finding the best weapons for the job, it's all pretty relative.

Tbh, I might just reduce it to a biathlon between The Ship and Garry's Mod. But if people wanna try Slap City too, it might be fun. That said, Slap City does require like a baseline of skill or sommit.

I'd be down for the murder ship, you have me on steam i think.

The ship is a banging game

I remember seeing the ship on steam when I used to play back in 2015 / 16 and it looked good just never bought it sounds like a pretty lit idea though.

I think the reaction to this so far has been more positive than anticipated. I like that everyone likes the Ship. Plus, I think just having it as a biathlon is better because as I mentioned - the Ship is quite a slow game at times, and I think game time only actually starts when someone kills the first quarry. Which means games can last anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour (though people would have to be playing pretty fucking defensive in order for it to last that long). I think the host usually decides how many rounds there are gonna be, so if I set it to 3, 4 or 5... Hm.

Anymore thoughts? I was also thinking if I do set it to 5, the first round could be a practice, the next three rounds could be actual matches and the fifth could be a bonus round for extra prizes for the runners up. #KeepItInclusive
