Who cares about updates now anyway. What made them so special was the hype before it since it boosted playerbase with S1 being almost full starting early in the morning nearly every day when summer week started and even S2/S3 had a lot of people ( Tough 80% were miners lol ). That would lead to a lot more bases/raids/nukes and stupid funny shit ( Like when half the server went mutant ).
But now all of that's gone because people got tired of waiting for a ghost update that will never come and generaly got tired of ssrp as a whole so even if an update were to come it'd just bring back a few players for 1 or 2 days and that'd be it. I mean just look at the state of S1 right now. Rulebreaking always was a big problem on zarp since the punishment system is full of loopholes and extremely lenient but now when I come no matter the time of the day the spawn is like a DM server. Everyone's just driving in cars cdming all around and that goes on for hours without anyone dealing with it because the lack of a consistent playerbase made players respect less and less the staff team as they don't have any particular attachment to the server anymore since everyone left. So even if they get banned a week or two they won't be missing much anymore.
And as for chute imagine a 12 year old kid playing fornite in his room and hearing his mom yell from the doorstep as she's about to head out to buy the groceries something like " Hey! Clean your room while im gone please! ". Can you imagine how much that 12 year old kid cares about cleaning his room while he's in the middle of that fornite game? Well that 12 year old is Chute and the mom is all the people asking him when the update's coming
