Weird, on my part it always says Missing x.bsp even when selecting allow all custom files from server.. On other servers downloading maps worked fine.	nemesis64 Offline Fresh Boarder Posts: 5 Karma: 0

That will be because gmod is a buggy piece of ass sometimes and although you have the map something might be different on it, it happens a lot. Try looking for the map you are "missing" in your files and if you do have it, delete it. If not you will have to download it from there manually.

The thing is, all the other servers i join, FastDL is nicely performing and never errors out, its always on the bhop server that this happens on. Maybe other servers dont use bzip2 compression while you guys do.. don't know really. Maybe it's because i'm running Linux and i'm running gmod under Steam Proton but i doubt thats the problem because like i said, other servers work fine.

About the maps folder, i have no custom maps there at all.

My final conclusion is that its a bzip2 problem since the FastDL downloads other files fine and mounts them but it always fails on maps which are bzip2 compressed.

Thanks anyway, will just bulk download the maps
