TOPIC: deadmonstor bhop needs your help!

Hello DEADMONSTOR,

Seeing as Xnator and Onion have not fixed the majority of small issues on the BHOP server I feel this would be a great way to "check" them and make you look even better with your well deserved new Owner rank.

First, the Sync meter is broken. It's at a constant 84 and never updates.


Second, the "stage" counter is useless. The simple bugs that have been here for over a year are not fixed, so how can we expect people to go through and mark stages. It's completely useless and just fills up un-needed space on the screen.


Third, this stupid shout vote. It's clunky, disruptive, and is better suited for team based games like Deathrun and TTT. It abruptly pops up and ruins players times and runs on the current map. It should be a smaller menu, and be an overlay on the left/right side of the screen so players can continue their run without it being disruptive.

To clarify on all of these:

The map stage counter works on specific maps when the stages are defined correctly (for a lot of maps, they are not). In my list of plans for the next update, a system to just ensure that the counter only shows when the map has the stages defined is included.

Sync has always been broken. This was looked into by both myself and DEAD previously and it is just poorly coded, with code that would not work regardless. Again, removed in the next update.

ShoutVote is what we use on all servers and we do not have any plans to remove it on BHOP. In the recent Pointshop patch, I implemented a system allowing users to reopen the menu, so it may also be viable to make it so that on BHOP and Surf, you can toggle whether or not the menu will open automatically when a vote begins, and will be notified in chat to type "!shoutmenu" if you have it toggled off.

Also, please don't try to call us out when we have been working constantly on updates for all Pointshop servers. DEADMONSTOR has been primarily in charge of the Pointshop servers until now alongside me, as he was the most experienced developer for these servers. With DEAD taking up development of SSRP with Chute, the Pointshop now falls to me to manage and develop for entirely (of course, DEAD will still be developing for Pointshop servers when he wishes to / when he is bored).
