If you really want to play on zarp TTT you (and others) could join the server and "seed" it for a few hours or however long you want to wait for randoms to join. Some days you will get a new player almost every 10 minutes, other days you won't get any.
Kinda sad it has gotten to this point but ig that is just the normal lifecycle of a game and its community servers.

There has been rumors that the server may get rolled back roughly two years to bring it back to its rebound days as seen from an feature/development standpoint. Will that bring it back? maybe. I think a dedicated server owner could also help with its current and future state. Because if you look at SSRP's performance, you can see that regular updates and events really make an impact.

Anyway, I strongly believe, as I mentioned in the past, that a good developing standpoint as described by Kanna, is a big part of a gmod server's success. However, taking from own experience, what keeps a game alive is it's regulars. I know for a fact that everyone gets bored of something and moves on at certain points in their lives, which is why new regulars need to be attracted and kept as it. Successful servers in terms of player base have one thing amongst others in common, and that is a "personality", and that is usually brought by simple yet exclusive moments of people playing together and sharing experiences each with their own character's chip in.

tldr What gives an extra interest and initiative besides active development, can be actual people. Different characters with different approaches to the game and different experiences to share with others. Negative or positive, it's what makes the difference between a soulless game and a game with a even few players that share experiences with their heart and give it a character

But in all seriousness just give up on ttt man I was like you making posts to try and do something but nothing happened I've already given up at this point. ttt died because of the shitty updates implemented by a certain individual when users told that certain individual that the server was dying he proceeded to mute people in the discord for saying it. in a nutshell TTT died because of shitty server management
