It is possible you used this item already or traded it to another player. Be sure to double check your shop, bank and the auction house as the items are almost always found there. As per the previous response, our inventory system is designed in such a way that items cannot simply disappear. If you have binded an item to a key it is highly likely that you may have mispressed this key and used the item.
