Why should I be chosen?
I believe I am an overall great candidate for this position. I have been a SuperAdmin for over 8 months, as well as being in the staff team for a over a year. I have a lot of experience given my time in the lead team and I know how everything works. I am active and well dedicated to SSRP. I've put countless hours into solving disputes, catching hackers, helping both players and staff members, attending meetings, and much more. I will expand in detail further on.
Leader
I believe being a leader is one of the most important characteristic of a lead team member, it shows you can manage a team and guide it properly. I personally have always carried this trait around with me, whether it being in school projects, sports teams, competitions that require teamwork, and such. I also obviously carry this with me on SSRP ever since I was an Admin, and I must say it is something that has improved massively during my time as a SuperAdmin given the different situations I have encountered.
Dedicated
I am a very dedicated member of the community. I am always helping to the best of my capabilities across all servers, not just the servers I staff on, SSRP, forums, and TeamSpeak. I have been a staff member on SSRP for over a year, with a few little breaks, and 8 months of those as a SuperAdmin. I have put in a lot of work and hours for the community and I enjoy doing so, hence me still being here. I do not plan on leaving anytime soon.
Active
I am overall very active in the community. I'm on the servers for a few hours daily, on the forums for countless hours everyday, as well as being on the ZARP TeamSpeak. I am someone you can contact easily by messaging me in-game, poking me on ZARP's TeamSpeak, or messaging over Steam. If I was not online I can always be contacted via the Steam Mobile App, Snapchat, and WhatsApp (for those who have me on those apps.) The only times you may find trouble contacting me is when I am asleep or when I do not have access to internet at the set time. I handle reports and appeals on the forums quite often as seen here:
Warning: Spoiler![ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ]
I also have some users and staff members report things directly to me over Steam, TeamSpeak, and some that contact me about it in-game.
Experienced
I have been in the community for a bit over 3 years now (since June 2014 as seen here,) actively since around July 2016. I have been in the staff team for a long time, most of which being in the lead team. I have come across many and different situations during my time in the Staff Team. I have a big understanding of how things run in the community which obviously is something that needs to be there. I know how to do my job efficiently and precisely.
Trusted
I strongly believe I am trusted within the community in general. I currently hold a SuperAdmin position on SSRP, as well as being TeamSpeak 3 staff and forums appeals section moderator. I also held a SuperAdmin rank on FPRP for around a day to maintain the server when ZARP was down.
Character
I am a very friendly person and this is beneficial in Staff to Staff situations as well as Staff to Player situations. I always approach others in a friendly manner, with some exceptions of course, without being rude. The exceptions being if someone is abusing their staff powers for example, or a user hacking, I obviously am not supposed to be soft. I am mature during all the situations I handle as a staff member, but of course there is banter here and there at times, within limits. I know when I can slide a joke here and there, depending on the situation.
Hackers
During my time as a SuperAdmin I have caught a good amount of hackers, more than 40 if I'm correct. Some of those remain currently banned, others have been kicked, whereas the rest I worked with other Lead Team members to catch hacking. I have come across multiple people using more advanced hacks that cannot be detected easily or with my own powers, thus having to get a HeadAdmin on to help. There was two occasions recently when I could not get a HeadAdmin on so I decided to confront them, and they did admit to using those hacks.
What can I bring as a HeadAdmin?
I am applying for this position as it would grant me access to many more powers and permissions within the lead team. This way, I would be able to help out even more; especially in catching hackers. I have a few goals surely, if I were to be promoted - mainly bringing the staff team closer to each other and improving both the lead team and staff team. Other general goals would be making the staff team better, developing it, and ensuring the users are being treated fairly. I aim to have a well structured staff team keeping the servers clean of rulebreak and for the players to enjoy it to the maximum.
Improvements
Some of you may have realised that Monday throughout Wednesday I was not on the TeamSpeak. This is due to me taking a short break to relieve some stress after a long time in the Lead Team, although I mainted my roles in-game and on the forums.
I believe it was Monday when I slipped and messed up twice. I was being given feedback by the HeadAdmins that I am a bit rushy in certain situations and I never got where they were coming from until I realised, thanks to Captain F1rework, that I was indeed a bit rushy while doing my job. Thankfully, I understood my flaw and I am sure it will not occur again. As I've said to some people before, time proves all.
Another thing that occured is when I changed my name to something I shouldn't have (not breaking TOU though) at the request of others, yet I did it for banter. It made some people pissed off at me for doing it, this went on for a few hours until I realised that I fucked up and changed my name back to Roy Harper (in-game and on the TeamSpeak.) At the end of the day I came out a bit immature, but everything is okay now.
I want to apologise to anyone I've let down. I decided to apply again, even though I did not want to on Monday, because I know I've improved and those that happened will not occur again in similar ways. I have and will continue on improving.
