Alright, so I've had a small "talk" with the members of the community team.
It appears I did go out of my way a bit too far, and by the way that I didn't respect chute's decision to lock it I should've approached him before I should've done such things, I understand why this would've been considered offensive which I didn't at the time. (And seeing his attitude too) and they've made clear on how this wasn't supposed to be done in this way at all.
I've apologized to Chute and by that this is now resolved.
