I've got nothing against the word "spook" nor have I ever heard of its racist use in the US before today, but if people feel offended by it (don't forget that a user did report someone because they didn't appreciate the apparently racist name) then I don't see why we should allow such things to occur. If there's any issue I have with it it's the fact that it's seemingly got some kind of priveleged position, as you aren't allowed to say the N-word no matter what but you are allowed to say the word "spook" seemingly.

A vote won't change the fact that people are offended and have reported users for it.

As stated I am neutral on the topic. This doesn't allow me to anwser as I would. But we can for sure all agree on that the N word is racist. That is the reason why it's prohibited. On Spook there are very different community opinions. It's easy to be ofended by something, thats the problem.
