Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:

I feel that being a Moderator has greatly improved my knowledge of staff, rules and the way to handle sits properly. Being a Moderator has made me much more experienced in each of these areas and I now feel a lot more confident when taking F1's that I know I will be able to deal with the situation effectively. I also feel I have learnt the commands and now can use them to the best of my ability and not abuse them.

Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):

The situation I remember was when there was a door that could be sold to make someone else use the base as they had already started building in, and someone else bought it. I therefore would like to have sold the door but couldn't as a Moderator as I don't have access to the command. I called an Admin over and got him to sell the door for me so the user could use the base to its full extent.

There is also the fact that there was a time when there were no Admins on and there were Prop Spammers and Mass RDMers, I therefore could have banned them with the power of Admin, but had to keep kicking them as I couldn't ban or jail.

If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:

Hello there [player's name]. Congratulations on being voted in on the Zarp DarkRP staff team! I am Aek177 and will be the one training you so you are up to date with how we work here at Zarp and the commands you need to know and how to use them.

So first off, you will need to know how to take the F1's that people make. This can be easily done by pressing F1 like you would normally, but you will notice there is a new menu. This is easily known as the F1 menu. Here you can access the F1's that are being made, the logs of the server in the "loggings" section. The logs hold Arrests, kills, disconnects and NLR breaks (not damage!).

Secondly you need to know how to claim an F1 and goto the player. This can be easily done by: Firstly right clicking the report in the F1 menu and clicking "Handle this" once you have done this on the right hand side it will show your name to be handling an F1 and it will tell the player who reported something that it is you handling it. Then to goto them you can right click the report again and click "Goto" you will then be tped to the reporter and you can ask what they need help with. (Remember it is always good to tp to a roof for a sit so you don't get disturbed)

Another handy menu is the F6 menu. This menu shows all the punishments that users and staff have received in their time at Zarp. You click on the top left "Search player" and it shows everyone online. If you want to check someone's punishments and they are offline, get their STEAM ID and click "Search" when looking for a player. You can then paste the STEAM ID and it will show their punishments.

You also need to know what commands you have access to as a Moderator.

1. The Kick command. This lets you kick players from the server, but you probably won't need to use this too often, as you can normally get away with a warn or ask an Admin+ to ban the user for the reason you have (eg LTAP after breaking a rule or rules. Etc). You can type this in chat "/kick [STEAM ID] [reason]" or in the tab menu by clicking their name and kicking them from there.

2. The Mute Chat command, this lets you mute the player's chat so they cannot send messages in chat. This is useful if they are spamming or being racist etc. This can be used by going into the tab menu and clicking their name and then mute chat.

3. The Unban from job command, this lets you unban people from a job that an Admin+ would have done. You will very rarely use this as you cannot ban people from being jobs anyway. I would recommend using the tab menu as this makes it easier to unban from whatever job.

4. You also have access to the Freeze command, this is useful when people are trying to run from a sit. You can do "/freeze [STEAM ID] [time]" or by going into the tab menu, clicking their name and freezing them there.

5. Another command you can use is the slay command. This is very rarely used and I myself haven't had to use it at all in my time as a Moderator. You can type "/slay [STEAM ID]" or slay them from the tab menu.

6. You will now see another command called "Mute Globally". This allows you to mute the player's mic if they are mic spamming or being disrespectful. You can use it by going into the tab menu and clicking their name then "mute globally".

After this command you will see "Mute" this is to mute this player to you and only you.

7. You will then also see the "Teleport" command. This is used for 2 things. It can either bring the user you wish to the point you are looking at or, you can type "/tp" and you will teleport to the point you are looking at (eg to get to a roof). Remember If you want to teleport someone use "/tp [steam id]" not "/teleport".

8. You also have the "goto" command. This lets you goto the user if you need them for a sit or are just going to them to help with their F1. You can either type "/goto [steam id]" or use the tab menu.

9. Another command is "bring" you can bring the user to yourself or use the "tp" command. You can type "/bring [STEAM ID]" or use the tab menu and when using the tab menu, remember to bring to yourself and not someone else!

10. Your last command is "back". This allows you to make users go back to their last location or spawn. You can type "/back [steam id]" or "/backspawn [steam id]" to make them goto spawn. Or use the tab menu to do this.

Finally you will need to know how to warn someone who broke a rule. You can do this by typing "/warn [Steam ID] [Reason]". If you accidentally warn someone by accident you can type "/unwarn [Steam ID]" and it will remove their last warning.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:

Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?

Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words):

I feel I should be promoted to the Administrator position because I have been a Moderator for a couple of weeks and I think I have improved in multiple ways since I first started out.

I have improved my knowledge of the rules as mentioned earlier in my app which means I can deal with more advanced situations in-game or not.

I have also learned how to use the commands to the best of my ability and can use them efficiently in sits and other instances where I need them. You may also remember I accidently tped too many people once in-game and now know to always use the tab menu or their STEAM ID to prevent this happening again and being reported.

I haven't been reported recently, but was once when I first started out and was still learning the server(s) when this happened and it wasn't that serious, and learned from my mistake.

I also think I am more trusted within the community now that I can show I use the commands correctly and have gained staff privileges on other Zarp game modes. (Murder)

As well as all these reasons I think I have now reached the stage where the Moderator commands cannot benefit enough in-game when a mass rule-breaker comes on and I cannot contact other higher staff to get on and ban them. So, if I had the privilege of having more commands I could benefit the server to make sure users stay happy and aren't disrupted by rule breakers.

Thanks for reading my application and any constructive feedback would be appreciated!
