What you said is definitly disrespectful, it's rude as fuck and him calling you out on it is 100% justified, back when i was staff i did the same thing whenever i saw some spoiled idiot openly harrasing hard working staff members like hes some kind of big shot, atleast be discrete about your dissatisfaction, and deal with it in the proper way.
