Ok, so this is not an issue because I have never come across this being an issue. Staff are not promoted based on their activity alone as we try to look for activity, f2 count, interaction, going the extra mile and much more depending on what is needed so that point does not make any sense. If the players ask for help and the staff member does not respond then I will just logically think "oh, this staff member is AFK and most likely doing something in real life or something more important right now so because of this information I have gathered I will just leave him alone and not just judge someone's moderating or administrating skills on the fact that the staff member is unavailable just like they would be if they were not on the server " so it really makes no difference at all if the staff member is AFK or not. So, in conclusion, I don't see why a staff member should be disadvantaged and not granted the privilege being able to be idle. Of course the staff members should not try intentionally farm activity as little damage it would have to the server it still does not look good but that is something that you can discuss with the staff member that is idle and if they are basing or if they are AFK printing they don't want to be kicked or punished for being AFK in those setting or in any setting that is. so if your point is relating to TTT on TTT there is already a function that if you are AFK then you automatically get set to spectator and even if they are AFK in spectator mode if it is such an issue that their rank depends on it then I am very sure that some one would have noticed by then and at least reported it and that goes to all servers that work like that and when it comes to servers like surf and Bhop being AFK is no harm because it makes it seem like people are on so it can popularise the server and get people to come on the server and maybe enjoy it. I hope you take this into account because I actually took the time to write this out when it is 3 am in the morning and I need to wake up soon but I don't want to go to sleep because if I lie down then I will start coughing and I can still not sleep for some reason as I have this weird insomnia and I might just be going crazy as I am just writing this randomly for no exact reason but just to write something because I don't have anything to do at this point in time so I will just stop writing now because if I don't then my fingers might fall off, pulse is normal and I am tired, Out.
