Suggestion Title:

Remove First Past The Post voting, add Alternative voting.

How would it benefit the server:

I'm so irritated by the way the Bloc42 poll went, and it's all because of First Past The Post voting.

Here are the reasons why:

1: More than half of the community is not happy.

In First Past The Post voting, you get some thing you can vote on, and you can choose one and only one vote. This is a huge problem. In the poll itself, I would say that around 40% voted for Bloc42, 30% voted for Rockford, 20% voted for EvoCity, and 10% voted for Evilmelon. Whilst Bloc got the most votes, that's still 60% of the server not happy with the decision.

2: Strategic Voting

The thing about voting is that it's supposed to make you vote for something you want, but under First Past The Post, it encourages Strategic Voting. I.E., voting for something you don't want because it is more popular, and hence it will have more of a chance of getting through. I believe that we would have more votes for EvoCity and EvilMelon if we didn't have FPTP.

3: The Spoiler Effect

If for example, people who voted for Evilmelon or EvoCity, want their 2nd choice to be Rockford, basically, they are just hurting their own vote. Because they just removed votes off of Rockford for a smaller map, dividing their votes.

Potential Issues/Exploits:

Literally none, however, maybe it could be hard to code.

If we had Alternative Voting, we wouldn't have had this shitstorm about Bloc on the forums.

And if you think Alternative Voting cannot work, fun fact: It functions in the Republic of Ireland and New Zealand.

EDIT: Many people said that they're okay with Bloc42 when I made this suggestion. Look, I wanted Bloc42, but Bloc42 isn't the focus of my suggestion. My suggestion is about more democratic and fairer voting.
