Neither do I make up my own rules, I usually ask for confirmation from the staff and am pretty sure that I can do the things that I do.
I don't recall the last time I got verbal warned, I have counterevidence most of the time anyway to prove that I didn't break any rule, so yes, I don't get warnings.
