Explain “Random Death Match”
RDM, as it is commonly known as, is when someone kills another player for no valid roleplay reason.
-Scenario-
Your walking down a path, someone next to you gets a bit bored, they pull out their gun and shoot you for no reason. This would be breaking RDM.
Explain “New Life Rule”
NLR, as it is commonly known as, is exactly as it’s printed, you start a new life. However, there are a couple of rules that you must comply with. First and foremost, you cannot return to the district of your death before 3 minutes has past [there is a timer at the top of your screen to show you this], also you cannot revenge kill.
-Scenario-
Let’s say your base was raided and you got shot, you cannot then immediately go back to your base to shoot the guy that was raiding it, as this would break NLR.
Explain “Metagaming”
Metagaming is basically when a player says something in the out of character chat, hence OCC, that he knows but the character he is roleplaying as should not know. It would be ok, for example, if a player just recently joined and wants to ask a question, but it would not be ok if he alerts everyone that someone is raiding his base and he needs help. This would be metagaming.
-Scenario-
Player X says in the OOC “help I’m being raided by Player Y, 100K to whoever kills him” this would be metagaming.
How would you handle the following situation?Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would first teleport both players to a rooftop, so as there would be no interruptions, then I would ask for Player Y’s reason behind the RDM. If it seemed to be a valid reason, I would explain to Player X why it is not RDM. However, if I find out that it isn’t a valid reason I would explain to Player Y why it is RDM and I would warn him because I have sufficient evidence.
-Example-
If Player Y kills Player X because he is raiding his base, then this would not be RDM. Whereas if Player Y killed Player X for no reason like a spawn kill, then this would be RDM.
How would you handle the following situation?Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would first teleport both players to a rooftop, so as there would be no interruptions, then I would ask both players for what happened. If Player Y’s story swayed my judgement and was for a valid roleplay reason, then I would explain to Player X why Player Y did not break NLR, otherwise I would warn Player Y because I have clear evidence that he broke NLR.
-Example-
The Vault is being raided and Player X kills Player Y, who is a cop. Player Y then returns, because the Vault is being raided. This would not be breaking NLR. Whereas if Player X kills Player Y because Player Y is trying to raid Player X’s base and then Player Y returns within 3 minutes, then this would be breaking NLR.
How would you handle the following situation?Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would then send a pm to Player X and explain that he is metagaming. If he is new, I would explain what metagaming is and would tell him this is not allowed. Otherwise If he repeatedly does this I would warn him.
Why I should be chosen:
First of all, I love this server. I am Zarp VIP and have bought many booster packs. I think I should be made Moderator because I don’t think there is enough staff on Zarp 2. Zarp 2 has a massive map, which in turn needs quite a large number of staff. I have been playing for quite some time now and have learned the Do’s and Don’ts of the server, so I can help a lot with new members, like I myself was. I have also learned that late in the evening is when rule breakers love to surface, and, as I am usually on at that time, I could be the one to stop them. I am very active playing at least 2 hours a day and could be very helpful to the Zarp community. I really think I am up to the challenge of being a Moderator.
Thank you for your time and I am open up to any critical negativity, but please not too harsh.
