Fix 1:



Make sure you have "Enable voice in this game" ticked, although I doubt it would freeze your game otherwise.

Fix 2:

You could try reinstalling the latest source game you downloaded.

Fix 3:

Go into your RealTek Audio Manager ( the orange speaker icon in the "Hidden Icons" popup list at the bottom of your desktop, next to the clock) and right click it, then press "Sound Manager". In the top right of the new box, there should be text saying "Device advanced settings"- click that. Once you're into the new menu, at the bottom of the menu there should be a tickable option under "Recording Device" called "Seperate all input jacks as independent input devices" or whatever the equivalent is in Dutch. If that's unticked, tick that.

The third fix worked for me when I had the issue in TF2, so it might work in Garry's Mod.
