It was decided that I learned all that I could have learned from being a moderator, and that even if i lacked on a detail or two as admin, i was responsible enough to read up on areas i lack in or study up on it, etc.

Third edit: not to cut corners, but because my methods of punishment is more of a learning experience for our customers than it is a warning /slap on the wrist and send em off. Being a moderator would only have made that learning process more lengthy and give me less tools to do it with.
