Alright, so we have two functions. One is called SetWeaponHoldType and the other is called SetHoldType. Since the latest update, SetWeaponHoldType is bad and SetHoldType is good. Why is SetWeaponHoldType bad? Well, according to this issue and the wiki, SetWeaponHoldType sometimes throws a hissy fit and SetHoldType doesn't. Another difference is that SetHoldType networks the holdtype. The last difference is that SetHoldType doesn't have the word Weapon in it, which is to make the difference clear from a "descriptive naming" point of view. As a final touch to make the situation crystal clear, SetHoldType calls SetWeaponHoldType, somehow preventing it from throwing a hissy fit.

Obviously every scripter who used SetWeaponHoldType and networked it manually should switch over to SetHoldType, or SetWeaponHoldType will continue to throw a god damn hissy fit.

A couple of questions:

Why is SetWeaponHoldType still around? Who would ever want non-networked hold types?
Why is SetWeaponHoldType not an alias of SetHoldType?
How is a GMod function throwing a hissy fit the fault of every single developer that uses it instead of the ONE entity responsible for that function?
I mean I'll change everything to god damn SetHoldType, but this is just first class bullshit.
