Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario. Random Death Match, other known as RDM is when a player kills another player randomly
Example: If player X is in a trade and then player y come up and shoots player x it would be RDM
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario. New Life rule (NLR) means you can not return to the district you died in until a 3 minute counter is over.
Example: If player Y is basing and gets raided by player x and his gang he can not break NLR by going back to his base asap to kill them and secure his base, he must wait for 3 minutes then return to the district where his base is.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario. Metagaming is your player talking about in game things in the OOC (Out of Character) chat
Example: If someone is in a gang and calls out in ooc "Hey lets raid this guy" he would have just metagamed, however if he used group chat he would be fine.
Another example would be if you were selling 15 steel and typed in OOC "Selling 15 steel pm me offers' thats metagame, alternatively you could use advert chat (/advert) then it wouldnt be metagaming
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x. Id teleport both players and ask If player X had sufficient proof such as screenshot or a video id ask for that proof, i would continue to ask "Player y why did you kill player x" and i would ask player y if he had any proof. If it is a well known player and there isnt great proof id probably let him off with a verbal warning but if there is proof and it seems to really be RDM id warn him for rdm
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
First Id teleport both players to me and ask player y if he had any proof that his NLR timer has ran out and see if theres any recording from player x (to prove he returned in less than 3 minutes) if there isnt enough evidence id probably let him off with a warning considering its not a major offence in my opinion, if there was proof, he would be warned for NLR.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
Id first ask him if he meant to advert it, then id ask him to re read the rules on metagaming. If he complied and listened to what i had to say and reviewed the rules id probably let him off with a verbal warning as it wasn't hurting anyone if he seems kinda like yeah whatever i would warn him for metagaming
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).I feel i would be a good addition to the staff because i have been staff on zarp before! I stopped being active because of school and working on my grades and when all that was finished i wasnt playing a whole lot on the computer and now that things have calmed down ive been getting my activity back up. I always thought i was a good mod, socialized and helped everyone to the best of my abilities. I reviewed the rules already and have been getting back into the groove of RP and feel like i could help improve the server and clean it up from those midnight-rulebreakers!
