Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario: Random Death Match (RDM) is the term used to describe the act of shooting/killing another player without justifiable proof that he or she is a traitor.
An example of RDM: An innocent player (X) witnesses another player (Y) standing still for a brief amount of time. X may assume that Y is purchasing items in the traitor store and open fire on him/her. This would be deemed as RDM as although a busy/AFK player may be forced to spectate, they may not be killed or have a KOS placed upon them solely for that reason.
Give three examples of an acceptable KOS and its scenario: Ruling #2.2 1. Player X is following player Y. Y requests that X stop following them, essentially presenting them with a 'first warning'. If X proceeds to pursue Y, Y may warn X a second time. Given an appropriate amount of time, if X continues to follow Y after two clear warnings, Y may issue a KOS upon X.
Ruling #2.6A 2. Player X finds themself in possession of a silenced AWP. Player Y happens to notice this and calls shenanigans. Y must first question X as to where he or she acquired the traitor weapon. If an appropriate and viable response is not received, Y may issue a KOS upon X.
Ruling #2.6F 3.Player Y calls for a 'life check' via text message. Players H, I, Y and A proceed to identify themselves as alive. Player X, however, remains quiet. After an appropriate amount of time has passed since the life check was requested, Y witnesses X milling around. Since X did not respond to the life check, Y may issue a KOS upon him or her.
Give two examples of unacceptable KOS and their scenarios: Ruling #2.7C 1.Player Y, through no fault of his or her own, mis-clicks and fires a shot. Coincidentally, this shot hits a barrel, causing it to explode. Player X happens to be close enough to this barrel that he or she dies. X is furious and decides that next round, they will issue a false KOS upon Y, in hopes of revenge.
Ruling #2.7E 2.Player Y has just earned that last 50 credits needed to buy themself the hat they've been fawning over since day one. As soon as they do, Player X, wearing the very same hat, abruptly declares their new state of unhappiness at this and rudely requests that Y remove the hat. When Y refuses, X issues a false KOS upon Y.
It's just not X's day.
Why I should be chosen: I feel as though I’d make a good moderator as I’ve played with the Zarp community for a good amount of time. I know the rules of the game and how to identify rule-breakers. Having witnessed many punishments being issued, I have a good scope of the type and duration of punishments set out by other staff, depending on which rule was broken. I would say my daily game-time is pretty good as I’m actively watching my gametracker, seeking that glorious but distant #1 rank position or to beat certain players (adamcoup1). With the added responsibility of being a moderator, I’d imagine that game-time would increase. In short, I feel that I’d be a mature addition to the TTT staff. I like to think I have a decent sense of humour about these ‘server crimes’ so punishments would of course be fair.
Thank you for considering my application. ~ At least no-one can say it needs more colour
