Yep true. Chris_Smith already gave a good and correct explanation in the previous post of what these spreading Steam links actually are. When they were really noticed a few months back even the codes used in those executable files were spreading through reddit etc. They are NOT malware.
His explanation was far from correct. You would be incredibly stupid/ignorant to assume that all stealers have in them is a steam stealer. Anyone who is going to go through the trouble to infect your pc so they can steal your items, would more then likely include something else inside that exe(Rat, Keyloger, Trogen, Ect).
Not to mention IF you look at the definition on <strong>
Malware</strong>, <em>"malware refers to software programs designed to damage or do other unwanted actions on a computer system."</em> So unless your telling me that people enjoy/want people using a program to <strong>maliciously</strong> take control of your computer and empty their inventories. The steam stealers would 100% be classed as malware. If you don't know what your talking about at least take some time to look things up before spouting random and false information.
Did you check if they have any other malwares, such as rats? Proof would be great because till now they have nothing other then steam stealer as they call it. (Just call it steam stealer so others understand)
Also if you followed up our arguement I did say they are malware. Ofcourse after some arguements. Please someone give a good explanation if you think mine is wrong, instead of arguing each other give a good explanation.
