Even if he was roleplaying as a gangster or a criminal it does not mean he can use a derogatory term for a gay person. Its the same situation if you use a derogatory term for a black person, you know the one I mean but I wont say it here as I find it very offensive. You could still argue that he is role playing but if he had said the derogatory term for a black person in group chat he would have had an instant warning. Role playing or not it should not make a difference if he is being homophobic in group chat. I personally find this behavior disgusting and coming from a staff member is even worse as they represent Zarp and its community. I personally do not want the community to be displayed as rude and homophobic as it is being by Mario. I really hope your attitude changes.
