3 days is not much, you should get some experience on the server to know the rules and players better.

The new life rule means that when your character dies and respawn you do not have the knowledge you had before dying and who killed you. Therefore if you get killed and run back to take revenge he will not only be breaking NLR but also as his new character does not know who killed him taking revenge is RDM
