Hello new SSRP moderator,
Lets start with a congratulations on your promotion to moderator!
In this post I will explain you the basic "must-knows" for a new moderator on our SSRP servers.
First of all, don't worry if you don't fully understand some of the commands in your first few days as moderator, you can always ask your colleagues for help. So don't feel ashamed, its better to ask alot of questions then to screw something up!
Now lets get to the basics:
The menu's
The f1 menu
You can gain access to the F1 menu by pressing the F1 button on your keyboard,
when you do this a pop-up will appear, this pop-up will show you all open and taken F1 cases.
This is the most common flow for a moderator:
- Open the f1 menu,
- Right click an open case,
- Click "Handle this",
- close the f1 menu,
- Now you will teleport to the user or you teleport the user to you and handle the situation,
- After finishing the f1 situation you open F1 menu again,
- right click the case you handled,
- then click on "mark this request as finished"
The commands
To be save the first days, you should try to always use the TAB-menu or you might warn or even kick the wrong person! I will explain the commands in more details later down this post.
The TAB-menu is used by holding the TAB button on your keyboard and then click the user you need to use a command on. From there you can simple click on one of the buttons.
The commands:
Kick
This command will disconnect the selected player from the server, it is important to always specify a reason for his or her kick. This command is usually only used to directly tackle a problem with this player (like a massive spam). For anything else, you should use the warn system.
Unban from job
When a player gets falsely demoted by another player, you can unban him from his job by using this command.
It will remove the ban from user from the selected job
Freeze
This command is mainly used in situations where the user is running away from you or from a moderator situation. The command will "freeze" the user in place, the user will be unable to move and won't take damage while frozen.
Slay
The slay command will kill the targeted user, this command is mostly used in situations where a users has broken the New Life Rule. You can either teleport him back to spawn, or just use the slay command.
Mute
Mute will remove the ability from a user to speak, it is most commonly used in situations where users are spamming music or annoying sounds trough their microphones.
Teleport
The teleport command grands you the ability to teleport a user or yourself to the location you aim at. It is most commonly used by moderators to teleport them self's to roofs or other quiet places to handle a F1 situations.
Back
This command will teleport the player back to his original location or to his/her spawn location. The command is always used when you have teleported a player for a f1 request, and you are done with the request.
Goto
The goto command will bring you to a selected player. It is mostely used in f1 situations where it's been asked for you to come to the player.
Bring
The Bring command will bring a selected player to you. It is used in f1 situations where you want to bring the player to you.
And now the final and most used command to moderate the server
Warn
The warn command will enable you to set a warning on a player, you will have to specify a reason just like with the kick command. The command is mostly used in situations where a player breaks a rule.
That were all the basic "must-know" commands for moderators, we have 1 more tool that you should know of as new moderator. The Admin keypad cracker, this tool will enable you to shoot at a fading door or keypad to check to what's it linked and how long the keypad will stay active (min. 4sec).
Now that you know all the basic "must-know"' 's I finish this post.
Please let us know in-game if you require more assistance.
Kind regards,
illuminatixs
