Dear [Individual],
First of all, I would like to congratulate you on becoming a moderator of ZARP's SSRP servers!
There are a few things you need to know about before helping out with the community. In this email, I will be showing you the commands you have gained as a moderator, how to use them properly, and the scenarios you might encounter that enables you to use them. They will be ordered from the ones you will be using most often to least often. I will also show you a new tool and your new F1 system.
/warn [<Playername> <SteamID>] [Reason]
This will be used when you have sufficient proof to convict a player of breaking a rule. This gives one warning to the player for the reason you have specified. If this player receives 3 warnings in a short time, he/she will be kicked from the server. If the player joins back again, and receives another warning, the player will be automatically banned for 60 minutes. If you have enough proof to convict Player "Y" of breaking NLR, you will use this command.
/unwarn [<Playername> <SteamID>]
This will be used if you have accidentally warned a player. If you were intending to warn Player "Y" but typed Player "X" instead, you would use this command.
/tp, /teleport [Playername]
This is used to teleport the specified person to where your crosshairs are pointing. This can be used to teleport a player if he is stuck, or as a substitute for the /bring command I will show you. You can use this when you have picked up an F1 and need to bring the player to you. If you do not put a playername, it will teleport YOU to where your cursor is pointing. This is helpful in getting up on roofs for F1's.
/bring [Playername]
This will be used when you want to teleport a player to you. This is different from the teleport command, as it teleports the player to an area near you, as to where your cursor is. You can use this when you need to a player for a F1.
/goto [Playername]
This will be used when you need to go to a player's location. You can use this when you have picked up a F1 about propblock, as the person who sent it is most likely near the propblock, depending on how old the F1 is.
/back [Playername]
This will be used when you are finished talking with a player for an F1. This will teleport them back to their last location, from where you teleported them. If they move during the F1, it might teleport them back to where they moved from, and is not entirely reliable. If this happens, you can have them walk back, and teleport them down if you are on a roof. Also, if you have teleported yourself somewhere, you can use the command on yourself to send you back.
/kick [Playername]
This command will disconnect the specified player from the server. This will be used when someone refuses to remove their propblock, is propspamming, or is continuously breaking the rules, regardless of your warnings.
/freeze [Playername] [Seconds]
This command prevents the specified player from moving. This will be used when you are trying to talk to someone, but keeps walking away from you. You can also use this to stop people from mass RDMing. Do not forget to unfreeze them using
/unfreeze [Playername].
/mute [Playername]
This command prevents a player from using forms of communication. (Eg. Typing, Microphone) This can be used when a player is spamming.
/slay [Playername]
This command kills a player. This can be used when a player refuses to holster a heavy gun they are not allowed to have due to their current job.
/slap [Playername] [Damage] [Repetitions]
This command flings the specified player, dealing the specified damage for the amount of times put in. This command is not very useful, as other commands can be used in place of this. It is recommended you do not use this to punish people.
/ignite [Playername] [Seconds]
This command sets the specified player on fire for a set amount of time. This command is not very useful, as other commands can be used in place of this. It is recommended you do not use this to punish people.
These are all the commands you will be receiving as a moderator. They are not to be abused in any way and for any reason. They are there to help you with your job. If you forget what to put in these commands, there is a template to the right of the chatbox as you start typing. Also, as you start typing a name, to the right, it will show who you are targeting. This is useful, as you do not want to teleport multiple people. There is also a tool you get with your Mod On Duty job, called Admin Keypad Checker. This took tells you which keypads are connected to which fading doors, and how long they open for. They are used for checking bases, to see if they comply with the rules.
Also, you have a new F1 system. There, you will choose which F1's you would like to handle, the warnings players have, and the logs. If you right-click an F1 a player has made, you have the option of handling it, or discarding it as abuse/spam. In the next tab, you will see logs of warnings other staff members have given out. It will show you who was warned, why, which staff member warned the player, and the amount of warns they have. You can use this if you need to unwarn a player, or warn him again. Finally, in the third tab, there is the logs consisting of job changes, arrests, kills, warrants, wanteds, joins, disconnects, demotes, hits and name changes. They also give you a timestamp as to when they happened. They are there if you need to check such things.
Again, I would like to congratulate you on becoming a moderator. This e-mail has given you most, if not all the information you need to know as a moderator. If you are unsure about things, ask other staff. Most importantly, you need to use common sense. The rules are just there as guidelines and a reference. If you think somebody is doing something wrong, you're probably right.
I hope to see you on the servers!
