Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death match is when one player kills another for no valid RP reason, an example of a Random death match could be that play X has had a quarrel with player Y outwith the game and decides to kill him for that reason.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
The New Life Rule is when a player who has died in a previous life cannot return to a certain area or district of the map for three minutes. The character they where is now dead thus they cannot remember past life experiences. Example of breaking NLR: Player A kills player B during a raid, Player B runs straight back to the raid from the spawn.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is when someone uses information that was not acquired in a role playing situation. An Example of metagaming could be if someone overhears a rival gang members keypad code in Teamspeak and then uses it to raid.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
Firstly I would try to get both of the player's recollection of events to get an overview of the situation and what has happened. I would inform both players that the logs actually show that player Y (The player who made the F1) has actually killed player X. I would ask both of the players if they have any evidence to corroborate their version of events, without evidence it would be near impossible to judge the situation with accuracy. So I would inform the players that no warnings will be issued.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y of breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
If the second kill is within 3 minutes of the first kill then it would appear that player x has indeed broken NLR but both players would need to give their version of events. If it is found out that player Y has returned to the same district in under three minutes I would explain to him what the New Life Rule is and why it is needed. Then I would explain that I need to warn him for breaking NLR and then issue the warn.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would wait until the raid is over (To not interrupt role playing) and then explain to Player X that OOC is not for role play matters. A verbal warn is sufficient for the first incident, and I would explain what meta gaming is to player X. If it persists then I would start to issue warns.
Why I should be chosen.
Well firstly, I never break rules, they are there for everyone to follow. I enjoy role playing, as many of the people on the servers do, Its not fun when rule breakers or trolls come to ruin everyone else's experience. I believe in fair play and everyone having a good time. I have experience in dealing with rule breakers on other servers. As I'm enjoying SSRP so much, I have been spending a lot of time there getting to know the people who play there and learning everything I can about the server and how it's run. I still have much to learn which is why I would like to apply for a moderator position to be trained of every rule and enforce them to ensure great game play for everyone on a great server. If I am chosen to be a Moderator I will strive to do my very best.
Thank you for taking the time to read and consider my application.
