If this was lastnight for me after I left, I can tell you that the base was already there. The entire area was blocked off cause we owned a large portion of it. You where not there at the time the base was being constructed. You bought the base knowing this would happen. The proof is that you bought a house in our land that we had already claimed but had forgotten about. Funny thing, since we own the entire section of the map we own all that is inside the area. Much like buying the front door will allow you to buy the entire house.
