Hello ZARP members!
Today we're announcing an upcoming map change, provisionally planned for next weekend (Sat 15th/Sun 16th). Not only will you receive a new map, but an update involving the following:

• New Cars
• New Weapon Pack
• Improved UI
• Other Surprises

We have researched some of the possible RP maps, and decided that a new map must be able to accommodate cars and give them a meaningful purpose.

We narrowed it down to 3, including the current map for those who don't want to change:

• RP_Bloc42_ZARP
• RP_California
• RP_Townsend_V2

NOTE
The map change will be trialed for a week. If there is a significant loss of playerbase/large amount of negative feedback, we will be returning to Bloc42.

California
California is a bug-free map which is a bit bigger in relation to Townsend, however there's a couple of smaller 'districts' attached to one big one. Buildings are very detailed in design, and it's generally a beautiful map. There's a range of functional buildings such as banks, shops, auto-repairs, warehouses, offices, swimming pools, parking lots, and a lot of opportunity for basing. The map would be fantastic for vehicles.

Townsend
Townsend is a medium sized map with many different zones, all linked through one winding road. There's a variety of building types including warehouses, shops, apartments, hotels and housing. It has a (working) train system, and wouldn't be bad at all for cars. The map does have some severe glitches, but anyone caught abusing them would simply be banned.
