Give and explain 3 situations in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command:
If someone is mass RDMing or prop spamming and not stopping after being frozen or warned.
If a player keeps breaking rules after already being punished and clearly doesn’t care.
If someone LTAPs (leaves to avoid punishment) after doing something serious like RDMing or scamming.
Explain in detail the main functions of the F1 menu and how this can be used to help you deal with situations on the server:
The F1 menu shows all the reports that players make. It’s where I can take and handle sits. It also shows logs, warnings, and who’s online which helps staff keep track of what’s happening. It’s basically the tool staff use to stay organized and handle situations faster.
Explain in detail how you would handle the following situation:
You witness Player A being verbally abusive towards you through voice/chat whilst you are carrying out your administrative duties.
If someone is being toxic towards me while I’m doing my job, I wouldn’t argue back. I’d tell them to stop and explain that disrespecting staff isn’t allowed. If they keep it up, I’d mute or gag them so they can’t keep spamming or trash talking. After that, I’d issue them a formal warning so it’s on record. If they still continue even after being warned, then I’d take it further with a kick or a ban depending on how bad the abuse is.
Explain in detail how you would handle the following situation:
Player A makes an appeal on a ban that was placed on them permanently for prop spamming, putting great apology and detail into the appeal, admitting to what they did. Explain the process of how you would handle this appeal.
If someone makes a ban appeal for a permanent ban, I’d read it fully and see if it looks genuine. If they’re apologizing, admitting what they did, and seem like they’ve learned from it, I’d give them a chance. I’d check their punishment history to see if this is a common thing or a one-time mistake. I’d also talk with the staff member who banned them to hear their side. If it all checks out, I’d look into reducing or lifting the ban but I’d make sure to remind them that if they do it again, the punishment will be worse.
Why I should be promoted:
I’ve recently been really active on the server, usually on from around 2pm EST until 1am when I go to bed, and a lot of the time I’m the only staff on during those hours. I do get frustrated sometimes with the lack of abilities I have as a moderator when bigger problems come up, which is why I feel like admin would fit me better. I’ve been trying to come back into ZARP for a while, but family issues kept me away. Now I have the time since I’m not doing track anymore, I tore my ACL freshman year, so I just want to have fun, relax, and put more time into the server. I’m extremely committed to the ZARP community and I’m not planning on going anywhere. I can’t wait to see what happens moving forward, and I’d be glad to prove I can handle the responsibility of admin.
