In all honesty I call my friend faggots all the time, in my opinion I don’t use it hatefully directed at gay people (nor can I say I’ve personally heard it used like that) but just as a term for bullshting that evolved online. Thats not to say I would walk up to a random person and call them a fag It would be something that I would say when I was satisfied they knew what I was saying wasn’t coming from a place of hate. It would truly terrify me if a smiple word had the power to do the same damage that an actual weapon could do to me. I love the phrase “sticks and stones may break my bones but words may never hurt me”. But at the end of the day if you said that using that word offended you I would try not to use it around you and hope that if I did you would know it would never come from a place of hate. Its always about trying to identify what that person means in the sub text.
