Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
- Having a feel of responsibility and authority really opens up your brain to better ideals and practices, which is what makes the difference between a worker and a professional.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
- Thankfully, the BHOP server is lacking of such situations, however we all are required to act wisely and use our words even wiser to escalate such obstacle to our advantage. Besides, having an authority rank is just like playing football in the home field.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
- I would start off by congratulating them for the promotion followed by a short introduction to establish roots by mentioning the Ethos with modest and suggestive points throughout the briefing. The practical part would include individual explanation and testing, if required, on each function and command, while being open to clarifications, deeper explanations and any feedback.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that Staff Member x banned them permanently for Exploiting, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
- First of all, full communication with the staff member that handled the punishment would be the wisest thing to do as respect amongst staff is crucial. After making sure the exploit committed isn't as severe as server breaking, and confirming the effort and apologetic behavior isn't made up to cover up future offenses i would communicate my decision to lower/remove the user's punishment with the staff member that punished them and proceed with a formal response to the appeal followed by the according in-game action.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
- I aspire to be an example to the whole community and carry a great honor amongst it with my actions, starting off with my favorite server and following with the rest as time goes by.
