Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:

My time as moderator has helped me feel more comfortable with the punishment menu that is used on the surf server, and it has taught me the best ways to interact with people on the server for example when it comes to new players.

Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):

As a moderator, I haven’t encountered any situations that an admin would have been able to fix. Most of the problems I encounter on surf are people getting stuck on stages and needing a reset. Like on the map Omnific.

If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:

As surf staff we try to keep the surf server a civil, safe and fun place. Every user, new and old, should have a good time.

I assume that you have already read the rules, if not I would recommend that you read it.

Always try to resolve a situation with words before punishing someone.

Now I’m going to talk about the commands that are available for surf moderators.

Chat Mute: The chat mute lets you mute a player and make them unable to type something in chat. This is possible to do from 10 seconds up to 10 minutes.

Voice Mute: The voice mute lets you mute a player and make them unable to say something in voice chat. This is possible to do from 10 seconds up to 10 minutes.

Strip Weapons: This takes away the weapons from a user. This will be mostly used when a user is annoying other users by constantly shooting them, this does not show up on the rap sheet.

Kick: This kicks the user from the server. Only use this when there is no other option.

Spectate: This makes you spectate a player, this doesn’t reset your current run and is invisible so it doesn’t show up on the player their hud.

Private Message: This sends a message to the player that pops up on their screen. It only shows up for them.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:

Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that Staff Member x banned them permanently for Exploiting and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?

Hiii there userx!

After talking to the staff member that banned you for exploiting we have decided to unban you!
You will be able to come back on the server and grind for times again, but please be careful with what you do and don’t exploit again because if you do we will have to ban you again.

I have experience with staffing on other zarp servers, like TTT, Deathrun and Murder. I know how the rules work and what to do. I try to interact with users and make them feel comfortable on the server. I got permission from Richard and Nyx.
