I strongly believe that you should wait out the remainder of your ban, mainly due to the seriousness of the situation and the possible repercussions your remarks could have had. You were lucky enough to have it reduced to a month, I think a further reduction will not be necessary - But ultimately it's up to DutchCat, TheXnator, and whoever handles this appeal.
