Why are you interested in being part of the Community Council?

I have alot of suggestions for zarp that aren't really specific to any of the server's but the community as a whole and considering that I have been staff on pretty much every server I feel that I have a good understanding of both the individual servers and the community and what can be done to improve it.

What role do you intend to carry out as a member of the Community Council?

Help make the learning curve for new players a little bit easier.

Being staff on all the servers I would always see people in the chat asking how to play or what to do ect and it was always difficult to try and explain everything whilst also carrying out staff duties and playing the game. I plan on making guides for all the servers (both text and YouTube videos) that staff can direct new players too in order to help them out with getting started. This way it's not just a one time explanation but instead a tool that anyone can use to keep going back to when they forget how to do something on an individual server.

The amount of people that lose interest after a while due to not understanding the game mode is immeasurable and it's always sad to see new players join and then leave straight away because of this. I plan on trying to make the process of joining the server and becoming a part of the community as easy as possible for a new player because unfortunately (As I'm sure many of us have experienced) it can be very daunting and difficult at first.

Why do you believe you should be selected for the Community Council?

Attitude

When I joined the community in 2019 I quickly gained the reputation of being a minge in the TTT community. I would rule break and try to make the server fun for myself by making it unfun for others which eventually got boring and I probably would have left at this point had I not started to like the community. My attitude slowly improved at this point and I wanted to go for staff so I signed up to the forums and applied but by the meeting I was banned and of course got denied. Since I had found the forums and was salty I started shit posting and necroposting at every opportunity until a punishment request from Nick got accepted and I came close to a ban.

Ever since then I have been working on my attitude in every single way possible. It took a while to shake my reputation of being a minge but eventually I managed to prove myself and got staff on TTT and became a part of the zarp community instead of just being on the outside looking in. I have not been punished on a single zarp server for 8ish months now and I think that is the perfect way to show that my attitude is the anti thesis of what it was when I joined TTT for the very first time. Of course I do a little trolling

but it is always in good faith and if someone doesn't like it I will stop.

If there are any concerns for my attitude they haven't been brought to my attention so please use the reply section to call me out.

Experience

I got my first zarp staffing position in October 2020 on TTT. Since then I have staffed on Deathrun, Minecraft, Surf and SSRP but unfortunately had to resign due to doing poorly in my mock exams. In this time I made little to no mistakes and tried my hardest to help out all the other staff members in any way possible. attending as many staff meetings as I could and giving my input whenever I felt something could be improved. I hope to rejoin the staff teams some time soon due to my grades improving but would like to become a community council member first, hence the application.

Activity

Unfortunately my activity has dipped a bit on all servers since resigning but it is slowly improving and I hope to get to a point where I can get as many hours as I used to whilst also maintaining my school work. I was pretty much on the ts whenever I was playing video games and always check the forums, meaning that if anyone has an idea that they would like to be suggested I would be very accessible. In terms of activity in the zarp community I averaged 100 hours a week at one point and since joining zarp have amassed 900 hours on gmod by only playing on zarp servers.

Because of my activity both in game and on the forums as both staff and a user I have the upmost faith in myself that I would be a good candidate for the community council.
