About me:
As many of you know, i have been staff on SSRP for a while now. I have been playing on Zarp for around 2 years as i joined at the start of 2018. While playing i have helped many new players to learn how to play SSRP and have made a lot of long term friends along the way. Being a staff member on Zarp has taught me a lot of the key aspects of being a LT member as well as giving me the experience that I will need to be a good Head Admin.
What I have learnt through my time as staff
As i have worked my way up the ranks on Zarp I have learnt that to be an effective staff member, you need to be able to deal with situations calmly and without bias. This would help me as a Head Admin as i will be able to calmly deal with disputes between staff members and also solve problems that users have with staff members.
Traits and abilities
I have been SSRP staff for a while now and have also be an active player in the community before that. Due to this i believe alot of people have come to know me well. However, I will outline some of my traits and abilities for those that haven't.
I am fairly laid back but do take staffing seriously as shown by my time as staff. I always help new players as much as I can and
Throughout my time as staff i have dealt with a large number of forum reports. Also, a large number staff reports on the forums.
Situations i have had to deal with as Super Admin
As my time as super administrator, i have had to learn how to deal with new situations. For example, I have learnt how to deal with disputes between staff members by defusing the situation and reminding them that staff members always need to be on the same side and should never do anything to jeopardise the integrity of the staff team.
Previous Staffing Positions
I have never been an SSRP staff member before my time as staff on Zarp. However, i have been a staff member on other servers in Gmod and outside of Gmod.
For Example:
Sandbox Server Moderator/Admin
Jailbreak Server Moderator/Admin
Hide and Seek Moderator
Zarp Minecraft Super Admin
Situations I will deal with as Head Admin
Super Admin staff reports:
One of the Head Admin's duties is to make sure that every staff member deals with new and difficult situations effectively and with no bias. If i got a message on discord or an SA was reported on the forums, i would first analyse the situations and see whether or not the staff member had done anything wrong. If they had, then i would recommend to them a new way of dealing with similar situations and make sure that they know what they did wrong and how they could improve on handling the situation later on. If all that was wrong with the situation was their attitude then i would keep an eye on them and remind them that staff members are meant to be helpful at all times and should not be rude or toxic towards other players.
Hackers:
Although I have already dealt with hackers in my time as staff, being a Head Admin will give me more tools to deal with them in a more effective manner. As stated, I am already experienced in these scenarios so hopefully being a Head Admin means that I will be able to improve on the way I deal with hackers.
What will I bring to the community?
As a head admin i hope to get the community more involved than they already are in updates and events. The server's community will feel that their voices are heard more. This will bring more new players to the server and help boost Zarp's popularity within Gmod. I will personally make an effort to ask users what they feel could and should be added to the server and why. Whether this be through anonymous replies to questionnaires or a post on the forums. I also hope to bring people together from other Zarp servers with a community wide event which has been suggested recently. This will help bring Zarp players to other Zarp servers. Overall, Strengthening the Community and helping to bring us all together. This could be through an event on a non-Zarp Gamemode to allow for everyone to have an equal chance of winning.
Why should I be chosen?
I have been Super Admin for around 3 months and during these times I have dealt with many different situations and have done so with the best of my ability. I hope that the number of staff reports and player reports that I have dealt with in my entire time as staff proves this. I have also hosted a number of unique events that the community enjoyed. As a Head Admin it will be one of my aims to host and help out with events. This includes spawning in weapons and hopefully hosting new and exciting events. Recently I have also been contacting members of the SSRP community to get their insight into what we think should be added to SSRP.
Few the past through months, I have also been posting threads on the forums to try and get the community to come together more and create some nice conversations between people. Hopefully, this has had a very positive impact on the community.
