as for "Self-defence" self defence would be if he attacked you, Giving your location is not a valid reason to kill them as stated you could have dropped a little message to the staff online explaining the situation and got the other traitor muted, the issue being you didn't and that you killed them.

now for the point where you're stating staff violating rule 1.8 themselves, Gather some evidence and report it, Cause damn this is the first I've heard about it.
