From what people are saying, I think I should of atleast been given an official + a chance to show improvement before being demoted out of nowhere.
That is true in the majority of the cases but remember there are also cases where someone has been emergency demoted so it isn't required, depending on how bad your attitude was or whatever the other reasons were for your demotion the lead team was lead to believe you don't deserve a second chance (in the form of the official warning). I do however believe that even the fact that you went in the effort of making an appeal and show that you are capable of genuinely changing is good enough to warrant a second chance but it's not up to me.
