Because most other users have done very little for this community whereas you cannot deny all the work xnator has done for the community and this is a relatively minor slip up and he should know better as a CO but people being angry because he isn't being treated as a regular user fail to see that he isn't a normal user.

This doesn't grant him the 'get away with rule breaking' pass though, he is still expected to follow them like everyone else even if he does good work behind the scenes. If he wants to argue about a rule that he very evidently broke, it just shows that he has a poorer knowledge of the rules whilst being in a situation where he should be giving the final word as a community owner.

I agree, it definitely isnt a get out of jail pass but this is a very minor rulebreak which shouldn't've happened but it's hardly mass abuse
