What i'm actually doing is i'm shooting them while scoped. The moment i click the shoot button i press my bind to go to my previous weapon twice. Once to go back to being holstered and than from being holstered back to my sniper. It's a habit i developed while playing csgo with the awp. If it's done quickly enough it would look like what you have described.

this seems reasonable enough tbh, even if i did originally misunderstand this

again i might lack evidence as this alone doesnt seem enough to vote on confidently
