Unfortunately, this is just one out of a few million good examples of something as such. People tend to behave differently when they are behind a screen, and when you are toe to toe with them IRL. This is not going to change, people develop their behaviour based on their parents, childhood, life experiences and the people they hang out with - It usually takes a lot for them to undergo serious attitude changes.
Don't expect gentlemen when you're communicating with people online.
