If someone mass rdms and leaves

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that Staff Member x banned them permanently for Exploiting, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?

First, I reply to the forum post saying “I’ll handle this” so people know I am handling it. I would take time to read their appeal with great care so I can fully understand the situation. I would then talk to the staff member asking what lead to the ban so I can gauge if the exploiting was done by accident or with intent and how severe the it was. Based on those factors, I would reply either of the with the following:

Hello player x, I have talked to the member of staff about your recent ban and I have decided that it will be removed. This is because this you seem genuinely apologetic, this is your first ban and I have confirmed that it was done accidentally. However, remember exploiting is a serious offence and it will not be tolerated and if you do it any further it will result in a ban. Thanks for taking the time to appeal this ban and have a great day.


Hello player x , I have talked to the member of staff about your recent ban and I have decided that it will stand. This is because even though it was your first ban, the exploiting was done with intent and it was a serious exploit which ruined the game for others, and you knew this when you were doing it. Thanks for taking the time to appeal your ban. You may wish to appeal this again but for now you will stay banned. Have a great day.


Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
I’m constantly responding to contact requests in the discord saying there is no staff on but the problem is when I join if there’s a lot of rule breaking going on. Then when someone requires a ban, I have to alt tab and wait for discord to open so I can make a ban request and in this time I can get 5 reports which can slow me down and clog up the system. Most of the time my bans requests are responded to quickly but still in the time it takes someone to see the request then load into gmod and ban them it could have been one or two rounds where the guy could of mass RDMed another twenty people.
Also I play quite a lot at night and in the early morning and there has been a few cases where I responded to a contact request and I have joined and handed reports and someone requires a ban so I make a ban request, usually this person leaves when they realise staff is on. Sometimes the ban request isn’t seen until morning and one time I woke up in the morning and I had discord message telling me the person re-joined an hour or two after I left and continued RDMing so it’s probable that its happened other times too.
I made a few mistakes last week, but I’ve tried to handle as many reports as I can this week to gain more experience and I have made few mistakes this week even though my report count is high, my last warn that was removed was last Monday(Let’s just pretend that Broken never RDMed and changed his name before he was reported). Even though I’ve handled a lot of reports, I take time to handle reports correctly and I also try to explain where people went wrong and what rules they broke. You can see this by the fact I’ve had zero demote requests or warn removals about me on the forums.
