Explain how you feel that your time as a Moderator will contribute to you becoming an Admin:
I will be responding to this question as if it is in reference to my previous time as staff, as moderator does not apply to me at this current time:
During my previous times as a staff member whether it be on prop hunt or across the community, I can say with my hand on my heart that I have learnt the ropes of staffing and could deal with the vast majority of situations that come at me whilst it is within my power. During my time as a moderator, I learnt how to assert my powers in the correct manor and apply myself to adapt to the challenges that arose to me. During my time as administrator, I learnt the way to use newfound powers to aid the server into its ascent, which I am proud to be a part of. The ban command was a step up which was not hard to adapt to due to the fact that I am highly adaptable, I think that is a very key step to becoming a staff member and seeking promotion. My first lead team role came when I became super administrator on prop hunt. I was surprised when I was accepted, I am not going to lie. However I feel I did a good job when it was required as me,sadly, over time the amount of lead team duties reduced as the staff team migrated elsewhere or simply resigned. When I was accepted for head administrator I was elated at the opportunity to become a key figure for the server and I am proud to have represented the server for the time I had. I have learnt how to assert even lead team powers to certain situations and should have absolutely no problem with dealing with administrative issues.
Explain a situation in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command:
There are many reasons for the ban command to be used against a user, however it needs to be used in specific scenarios in which it would deter a rulebreaker but would suggest change for a genuine player. Here are a few:
The user is repetitively discriminatory after a punishment from a staff member.
The user is exploiting a feature to the extent of it harming other players.
The user is harassing another player or a staff member and refuses to stop.
The user has ghosted 3 times in recent succession.
The user has no intent to play the game properly and intends to cause issues.
The user is hacking and I have had consent from a lead team member to enforce the hacking policy.
The user is advertising other communities.
The user repeatedly refuses to listen to staff warnings and commands.
The user leaks the personal information of another user or staff member.
The user reaches an extensive amount of punishments within a certain period of time.
The user attempts to crash the server.
If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Hello new moderator. I am Kyber, a former Head Administrator and i can can assist you with any issues you have. Firstly, I would recommend that you always stick to the staff ethos when dealing with an abusive player. This way, you will make sure you do not misuse your powers, and if you have any queries you can always consult myself or a lead team member with your issue. Firstly, you can bind the ulx menu with the command:
This will make sure that you have quick access to the menu and will be able to execute the following commands:
Amute:
This can be used as !amute [name] and this prevents a player from speaking in admin chat
Asay:
This can be used as @ [message] and this sends a message to only other staff online (admin chat).
Gag/ungag:
This can be used as !gag(/!ungag) [name] [reason] and this prevents a player from using their microphone (/ ungags a player).
Mute/unmute:
This can be used as !mute(/!unmute) [name] [reason] and this prevents a player from using chat (/ unmutes a player).
Psay:
This can be used as !p [name] [message] and this sends a private message to a player.
Timed gag:
This can be used as !tgag [name] [time in mins] [reason] and this gags a player for a set amount of time (in minutes).
Timed mute:
This can be used as !tmute [name] [time in mins] [reason] and this mutes a player for a set amount of time (in minutes).
Slay:
This can be used as !slay [name] [reason] and this instantly kills a player.
Bring:
This can be used as !bring [name] and this teleports a player close to you.
Goto:
This can be used as !goto [name] and this teleports you to a player.
Teleport:
This can be used as !teleport [name] and this teleports a player directly where you are looking at.
Forceteam:
This cannot be used through a chat command but this forces a player into either the hunters or props team.
Check Friends:
This cannot be used through a chat command but this checks to see if a player has steam friends on the server.
Force Spectate:
This can be used as !fspec [name] and this moves a player to spectator mode.
Kick:
This can be used as !kick [name] and this kicks a player from the server.
Warn:
This can be used as !warn [name] [reason] but cannot be used through the ULX menu. This warns a player and it appears on their rapsheet (F6). You can also see how many warns a user has with !warns and this opens its own menu to warn a player, this appears on their rapsheet (F6)
Here are some Key notes:
1 ) Do not use your powers on someone without valid reason.
2 ) When dealing with a user always be respectful and kind, no matter how they are acting, to avoid conflict in the future.
3 ) No one other than yourself should be on your account while playing on our server.
4) Using the @ symbol after certain commands will target the player you are looking at.
5 ) Do Not Punish Other Staff Members. Contact a Lead Team Member (Super Admin+) if you think a staff member is abusing or breaking rules.
6 ) When kicking someone always double check that you are kicking the correct person.
7 ) Minimum playtime per week is 3 hours, which is counted every Friday meeting
8 ) When issuing a punishment on a player make sure they fully understand why they are being punished so they know what not to do in the future.

Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Firstly, I would recall the context of their punishment and deduce whether I believe it is valid, and I contact the other staff member involved. I would ask for their opinions on the matter and ask their story if it conflicts with the one in the appeal. Then, I would take a look at their attitude and look at how they compose themselves across the community, whilst considering their reputation and previous bans and actions on other ZARP services. I would then enquire the opinion from the banning staff member and hopefully come to an agreement about it. If I cannot come to an agreement with the staff member, I will take the next best course of action in my opinion and come to a compromise to shorten the ban. I would then respond similarly to this:
After reviewing the contents of this appeal I have decided to accept this appeal and reduce it to 1 week. During the week, I suggest you read the rules and the Terms of Use to understand the rules and for you to know what you did was incorrect fully. I hope that you being unbanned is a sign of change.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
I have been an active member of the community for a while now. I feel I am a very well known figure throughout the community whether that is due to my forum presence or my large presence over a lot of the servers. I was Prop Hunt head administrator for around 9 months and I was staff for around a year and a half. I managed the staff team on Prop Hunt as a sole head administrator and I feel I did it to a sufficient and high standard. I have been staff on the vast majority of the ZARP services and I am a trusted member of the community. During my time as staff I built up a lot of experience with dealing with many situations whilst maintaining a good attitude and activity. I did not once ever deliberately commit to any wrongdoing and I aided the prop hunt server. I am trusted within this community and I feel this trust could be a good factor in the staff team's judgement regarding my activity. I have a home for Prop Hunt near my heart and I dearly enjoy playing it.
Richard gave me permission to apply straight to Administrator.
