Feedback is what you should improve on, which is a nice act but you should stick to more private approaches.
On the regard of the reason of why you got demoted, people don't like saying things you did wrong in public and you were spoken to multiple times, all of which were for justified reasons and were informative on what you should and shouldn't do.
